In addition, the Burchfield Penny will provide sessions in which their docents are encouraged to use their unique skills, anecdotal and professional experience, and more to bring the museum and the arts to life for after-school participants. The collective goal is to inspire and ignite interest. The goals are to engage students with works of art that may resonate and parallel their own life experiences, provide positive experiences with adult role models, and gain self-confidence and public speaking skills.
